Email marketing is becoming more and more important, but it’s tough to know which solution is right for you.
There are so many email marketing solutions out there. How do you know which one to choose?
GetResponse is an email marketing platform that allows for high converting content, beautiful templates, and powerful integrations. Find out whether this email marketing platform is right for your business in this in-depth review!

What is GetResponse?
GetResponse is an email marketing app:
- Build a mailing list and use it to capture valuable data
- Send newsletters to your list monthly to stay in touch with your customers
- View statistics that help you improve your email campaigns – Open Rate, Bounce Rate, Click though Rates, and so on
- Automate your email marketing and simplify your tasks with autoresponders. They’re incredibly easy to set up and use so you don’t need a ton of experience to get started.
GetResponse is a platform that allows businesses of all shapes and sizes to stay visible in front of their respective customers. It’s still an email marketing tool, but now it also helps control different aspects of your business.
But how much does all this cost?
GetResponse pricing
There are five plan options to choose from.
Getresponse Free — This is a set of free tools, so please use them with the power of Getresponse. They will let you use their free version indefinitely while keeping your list under 500 records.
- Basic — This starts at $15 a month and lets you send an unlimited number of emails to up to 1000 email subscribers
- Plus — Get started at $49 per month and can easily grow your list to over 1,000 subscribers
- Professional — The subscription price starts at $99 and you can choose to receive up to 1,000 subscribers.
- Max — Tis is Custom pricing.
The cost of using GetResponse with your list can increase as you accumulate more subscribers. The price goes up depending on what plan (Basic, Plus, or Professional) you are on. For example, at 100k subscribers, the price is $450/month on a Basic, $499/month for a Plus, and $580/Month for a Professional
GetResponse’s ‘Max’ plan is the perfect option for many users who have a limited budget and need to cater to larger list size. Make sure you’re interested in this plan before scheduling a demo and thoroughly discussing your needs with them.
If you pay upfront for 1 or 2 years of service, you can save up to 18% and 30%, respectively.
Get the chance to try the paid-for plan for 30 days for free by accessing our trial here.
Key differences between plans
- The ability to import and host a subscriber list in your website/blog
- A range of email newsletter templates
- Autoresponder functionality
- A landing page builder
- Leads/ sales funnels
- Google & Facebook Ad management tools
- A website builder tool
Now, there are a lot of differences between the ‘Basic’, ‘Plus’ and ‘Professional’ plans, but for me, the key ones are as follows:
- The automation builder — GetResponse’s automation builder leaves nothing to be desired, and this is only available to customers on the ‘Plus’ or higher plan.
- Conversion funnels — As you become a higher-priced business, your options for automated sales processes increase. You have more access to automation through the pricing process.
- Live webinars — The Basic plan does not come with any webinar potential, so it’s best to sign up for one of the other plans. The Plus plan is capped at a maximum of 100 attendees, the Professional plan is capped at 300 attendees and finally, the Max plan allows hosting up to 1,000 attendees..
- Paid webinars — You can’t charge for webinar access on a business plan or higher
- Team management — With the ‘Basic’ plan, you can have only 1 user account. The ‘Plus’ plan offers 3, the ‘Professional’ 5 and perks up to 500 accounts (the highest allowed).‘
- Ecommerce — The abandoned order recovery feature is for business owners on the ‘Pro’ plan and above. You can access this feature if you upgrade to one of those plans.
GetResponse’s new ‘free-forever’ plan is designed to get your business off the ground without any additional costs for as long as you like. This also gives you access to all of the company’s features, which I will discuss in detail later in my review.
The new ‘GetResponse Free’ plan
GetResponse has traditionally done differently from some of its competitors, such as Mailchimp & AWeber, by not being entirely free. But it does offer other options.
It looks like Getresponse has just released a new ‘free-forever’ plan. Not only is this service much cheaper now, but it also gives you the option of using their platform for as long as you want, completely free.
GetResponse includes a free email marketing service that includes Excel dictation, power editor, and AI writer that is easy to use with great templates.
With the GetResponse plan, you’ll only have access to their mailing list service and branding. If you don’t have a big list yet, this may not be a good option. If you do happen to have a list of 500 or fewer members, then this plan is for you!
Even so, the free plan provides a good way to test out the product, & a good way to get started with email marketing. Especially if you are trying to start small and just want to send newsletters periodically.
Here’s how the GetResponse Free plan works:
How does GetResponse pricing compare to that of its competitors?
GetResponse is cheaper than its competitors at the same level, so there is no reason to stick with any other service.
GetResponse starts out at a price that is much more affordable for small businesses, with the option to host up to 1,000 email addresses for $15 per month. Compare this to alternatives like AWeber or Campaign Monitor which could start out really expensive. Mailchimp’s pricing for their Standard plan is $51.99 when used with 1000 contacts.
GetResponse tends to be the least expensive option, at least when compared to other email marketing software.
To identify competitors, there are a few things you can look for:
- There are some solutions (Mailchimp being a prime example) that charge you to host both subscribed and unsubscribed contacts–which can be a significant hidden cost. GetResponse only charges for your active subscribers.
- Have you considered the prospect of getting substantial discounts on GetResponse if you prepay your account? You can get discounts at 18% and 30% respectively.
GetResponse has an affordable pricing plan that stacks up well against competitors.
But what about features?
Key GetResponse features
Getresponse is one of the more advanced email marketing tools on the market. Unlike other software, however, its entry-level plan provides a lot of features.
The email marketing platform is all-inclusive, offering a variety of features and tools for companies to reach out to customers across different channels. — software and e-commerce solutions that provide features such as templates, analytics, hosting packages, and autoresponders are now offered by most of the major players in the industry.
A lot of the specific features of this voice writing assistant are pretty helpful. It has a transcript feature, predictive dictation, and it even has a Word Lens translation!
Autoresponders
Autoresponders are often sent out to subscribers at intervals of your choosing. They in turn provide information about recent happenings and offer new opportunities for your business.
For example, you can set them up so that…
- When somebody signs up to your business’ contact list, they will be immediately welcomed with a message
- And when you’re good to go, they’ll send you a discount offer for more of your products or services, which can be very tempting
- They get a nice encouragement from you after 3 weeks of following them. A lot of people grow without even knowing it
And so on.
GetResponse has some of the most advanced auto-responder functionality – a key selling point for their product.
GetResponse autoresponders are great ways to send either time-based or action-based messages. You can schedule advanced cycle options like the example above, or create time-based messages based on information received from your users.
- Opens
- Clicks
- Subscriptions to particular lists
- Changes in contact preferences
- Completed transactions / goals
- Birthdays
- Changes in user data
Marketing automation tools
GetResponse has a few more sophisticated types of auto-response emails available. They have a ‘drip-style autoresponder as well as an email sequence that lets you send emails in waves or to groups.
Automate marketing with a tool on our site. Upgrade to “Plus” or higher to take advantage of the added features & benefits that come along with it.
Automating the process of your communications plan is easy with GetResponse. When you have your flow set up and scheduled in a calendar, you’ll be able to keep track of which emails went out when and what posts have been shared with who. It’s never been easier! Automation workflows can be very easily created using our drag-and-drop editor. All you have to do is create a new flow and your job is done!
Here, you’ll find a lot of functionality from traditional autoresponders but with an increased level of personalization available. This is made possible as the core functionality is built in to provide a user journey that can be customized and have so much more on offer than what’s traditionally been available.
GetResponse has an informative marketing automation video that shows how this service works. For a quick visual overview of how all this works, you can take a look at the video below.
Getresponse email templates
GetResponse offers 125 email marketing templates. Their designs are intuitive and updated on a regular basis, making them easy to work with.
Email templates are categorized by their main focus — Promoting, Educating, Selling and so on. They have very high standards and give you time to focus on your other important tasks.
Here are the options that are available for headings and text sections:
Unfortunately, the template editor doesn’t provide some of the features that many users want. This can mean that you have to spend less time formatting text and more time on typical business tasks.
One of the benefits of the GetResponse email creator is that you are able to use a wide variety of web fonts. Other tools typically don’t allow for this, but with the GetResponse tool the option is there and usability can be improved by using web-optimized fonts
What’s great about this wide selection of web fonts is that—due to the prevalence of Google fonts and the many variations offered—it will let you create email campaigns that maintain your branding.
Remember that not all email programs support use of web fonts. They may have a list of different settings you can use to accommodate older systems tht GetResponse doesn’t support. But overall, the emails created by GetResponse are likely to look good on older systems with less features than modern ones.
The tools available in Getresponse’s new email creator allow you to customize fonts, change headers and backgrounds, and use a really wide range of other design elements to build something unique.
One last thing, GetResponse templates are all responsive and adjust itself automatically to suit a device that the client opens it on — be it mobile, tablet, or desktop computers.
See how your email newsletter is formatted on a desktop and mobile device before sending it out
Efficiency is an important issue in today’s business environment, and this is a concern. Most laptop computers display emails in a similar fashion to tablet devices these days, but you do get limited customization options during the process.
Analytics
GetResponse offers an extensive range of analytics and reporting options that make it much easier for you to keep track of your business.
Interesting reporting features give you a detailed look at what’s going on with your subscribers. You’ll know when they are open, clicking on ads and unsubscribing from your emails.
- ‘One-click retargeting‘: An easy way to send targeted emails to people who have not engaged with a newsletter that is automated and triggered when someone subscribes or unsubscribes from another newsletter.
- Email ROI: Adding tracking code to your post-sales page is a great way to find out how effective & profitable your email campaigns are.
- Per-user information — You can see your subscribers’ locations and what email campaigns they’ve opened over the past.
- E-newsletter performance comparison — You can see which e-newsletter has the most subscribers or most engagement really easily
While IM tools like Mailchimp and AWeber offer similar features for tracking filters, GetResponse does one thing that the others can’t: their reporting tool is more fully-featured than those IM tools.
Split testing
Split testing is a method where you can compare different versions of your magazine or other marketing materials by sending them to some people that have signed up to your mailing list and monitoring their reactions. You’ll know which version performs best based on which one gets the most favorable reactions.
GetResponse is a split test-friendly email tool. You can use it to experiment with subject headers or content variants and see which one works.
However, when doing a split test you can only use one variable at a time during the experiment — for example, you can test email subject lines against each other but they must have the same content.
Some marketing tools are more flexible and allow for testing options with more variables during tests. For example, you might test the best time to send your email or who should be sending it.
GetResponse could do a bit better here.
Perfect timing?
GetResponse has an option for split testing but it is not comprehensive. However, the feature that helps make up for this is the sending feature called ‘Perfect Timing’, which helps send out certain types of messages at specific times in accordance with previous statistics
GetResponse will use your past email opening habits to figure out when a subscriber is most likely to open an email and be perfect for them on that day.
Landing page creator
GetResponse offers some pretty cool features you will often not find in their competitors. One such example is the ability to design a landing page that could be perfect for your campaigns.
A landing page is usually a core part of any online business campaign. You’ll need it if you’re going to advertise on Facebook or use Google Ads or other similar platforms.
Online ads usually generate far more leads if they simply point users to a website with attractive ‘squeeze pages’ that offer clear information and are designed well.
GetResponse gives you the tools to test your marketing strategies in real-time. They let you compare different ideas and see which one performs best.
This can have a very positive effect on the number of leads you catch and improve the reach of your email campaign.
In the past, landing pages have been difficult to accomplish without the assistance of a third-party platform. The landing page feature provides you with a very useful alternative that can save you a lot of time and money.
GetResponse’s general landing page tool is available for everyone, even the “GetResponse Free” plan. This means that anyone can create dynamic landing pages in under a minute that are ready to show at maximum impact just as highly rated landing page tools like Unbounce and Instapage charge a monthly minimum of $90 and $199 per month respectively.
Make sure to use analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager when you’re creating your landing pages. The important thing is to hook up your visitors’ information as well as the success of your product/service with these tools so it can be analyzed and tweaked accordingly.
With over 200 landing page templates, you’ll find a professional and contemporary style you love. GetResponse offers tons of options to help with any business need.
Not many people agree on whether this software is effective at getting leads. Some say it’s not useful for generating a high return on investment, but others argue that the software is a quick way to optimize traffic.
The interface of this software is not intuitive and it takes some time to master. It feels clunky & can be a hassle sometimes, but the algorithm that controls word choice is pretty good
The content must be prepared for both mobile and desktop computers. Mobile users may not have access to products or services that can only be bought via a desktop device.
In some ways, this can be a good thing as it means you can specifically target and hide certain parts of your landing page on mobile. But, this is a rather fiddly process to do so.
Landing pages aren’t only your first point of contact, but they are also the most important point of contact. They need to load quickly to be useful, but Google may be able to help improve their speed without huge technical changes (just some tweaks).
However, tracking your visitors through the Google Analytics cookie or other cookies is not GDPR-compliant. But you can use it in a way that keeps you safe and compliant with privacy standards.
In order to comply with GDPR & comply with some US regulations, you’ll need to ensure your website gives users an easy way to opt into or out of cookie use for privacy purposes.
You cannot do this with GetResponse – the best you’ll get is to let users know that cookies are being used on your landing page
Few GetResponse users are aware of the fact that by adding their Facebook pixel or Google Analytics tag to a landing page, they could potentially be breaking the law. This is far from ideal and GetResponse should urge its users to refrain from doing this.
So this landing page is a good feature with some flaws — the interface might be easier to read without hiding it and you also need more clarity on what data they are getting when capturing users’ cookie information.
Webinars
GetResponse recently introduced webinar hosting to their platform which allows its users to create, schedule, and attend events. This feature also allows for more flexibility for hosts and attendees as everyone can participate using a variety of devices
With the increasing popularity of webinars, it makes sense to have your email database and a webinar tool that work hand-in-hand. This will help ensure easier lead generation and provide a revenue stream from your website.
Price is the other selling point and it is also very competitive.
Gotowebinar charges $89 per month to host webinars with up to 100 participants. Want a similar service at a more affordable price? GetResponse only costs you $49 per month.
GetResponse’s webinar solutions work with a number of different plans. The ‘Plus’ plan allows you to have up to 100 guests, the ‘Professional’ plan has 300 guests, and the ‘Max’ plan has 1,000.
Although GetResponse offers some features that are not as great as other tools in the market, I was pleasantly surprised by their webinars feature.
You know that advanced features like video chat and screen sharing are available whether you’re on a browser or on your mobile device. It’s also easy to organize & find your webinars because of the event calendar.
* A few good features to flag up as particularly useful are:
- Your attendees don’t need to install anything or download any software to watch your next webinar.
- One-Click Record of your Webinars
- Screensharing functionality
- YouTube Video sharing functionality
- You can upload Powerpoint presentations to GetResponse during a webinar.
The only downside with the document storage limitations for recorded webinars is that they are not overly generous – you get 3 hours on the ‘Plus’ plan, 6 hours on the ‘Pro’ plan and up to 20 hours of space at once on the ‘Max’ plan.
Webinar-related content is an important part of the business, but you may also find yourself needing a separate storage solution to share them with your guests.
With their webinar feature, the features provided by GetResponse are far more comprehensive than its competitors in the email marketing industry. With so much to offer and no key features missing from their platform, there is a lot of reason for organizations of any size to use GetResponse to reach out to new customers.
Unlike email service providers, your webinar broadcasting tool allows you to integrate your list and improve the quality of your content. This feature is great in comparison to other e-mail marketing tools & those that only allow for one-way communication.
GetResponse also provides a search for conversion funnels that show you the entire process of a sale. What this does is allow you to maximize your efforts and construct long-term strategies to boost your business.
Conversion funnels
The recent introduction of ‘conversion funnels’ by GetResponse was quite a departure for their product. These new features provide improved conversions for your business.
You’ll find that GetResponse can also serve as your entire eCommerce site by providing services like setting up a website, collecting customer payments, tracking orders, and more.
GetResponse allows you to check emails, track sales, make global changes across your website, and do many more things “without ever leaving the GetResponse environment.”
- Create a product catalog
- Create and run Facebook ad campaigns
- Create landing pages
- Add subscriber subscriptions to an autoresponder cycle
- Drive users to sales pages on GetResponse
- Take payment for products
- Send abandoned cart emails if necessary
All plans include the conversion funnel feature. — But there is a Basic plan available that includes only one sales funnel and doesn’t permit the abandoned cart recovery feature (which automatically sends emails to items that were added to someone’s cart). If you’re looking for text for an event or other similar campaigns where you’ll want multiple sales funnels, it’s recommended that you choose the Professional Plan.
If you like, you can integrate external third-party platforms with this feature so that they work seamlessly with GetResponse. For example, Shopify, BigCommerce, and Etsy are all compatible.
This is best suited for solopreneurs and small businesses who either value the all-in-one features or have a lower budget for marketing.
Having sellers do their selling on a separate interface may still work for merchants with large product catalogues and extensive e-commerce requirements. They will probably be better off using an eCommerce solution like BigCommerce or Shopify though, which is also great if you don’t have the time to manage that process.
GetResponse’s website builder
GetResponse just provided new advanced content management tools that provide a website builder. This allows you to build your site even when you’re busy with other tasks.
GetResponse allows you to create a website in their interface and connect it to an existing domain. They also allow you to buy that domain if desired.
The templates for the website builder are pretty good. It can create simple, static websites that are easy to use and offer great functionality straight out of the box.
If you add utility forms to your websites, it’s easy to add products you’ve created on GetResponse.
If you are waiting on full e-commerce functionality, the time & effort are going to be worth it because this is something that GetResponse has promised in their FAQ page.
This tool will be a good option for creating a simple website to get started with, but might not be the best fit for long-term website maintenance.
GetResponse is a website builder that creates site templates that are not specifically fast or compliant with Google’s new Core Web Vitals website speed and stability standards.
A lot of ‘hosted’ website building tools provide this issue, especially so-called platform hosts such as Wix, Squarespace, and others.
The new website builder feature from your company is stable, but there are still a few bugs in it. You can expect improvements to go into it in the future as they grow more confident with the software. Having a singular website, email marketing, & webinars has many benefits that are especially attractive to small businesses.
As of now, the feature isn’t as established as competing sites like Big Cartel, Squarespace, or Wix. While it saves time & effort, it still needs a bit more work to be on par with those features.
GetResponse Chats
This new feature is now available to businesses who have the ‘Plus’ plan or higher – meaning it can be added to any of the features in your GetResponse account! You can add live chat on one or all pages, and the cheerful social media-like interface is modernized for today’s companies that want a quick, easy solution to their marketing.
To add the option of live chat, you must have a snippet of code placed on your site and then visitors will be able to contact you without leaving the site.
With this feature, your users have a more positive experience and more conversions. It can also help you have a higher subscription rate.
Sometimes interactive scripts like this can have a negative impact on page loading times. This can adversely affect your site’s performance in online search results.
But there are lots of contexts where this sort of functionality will come in very useful, so it’s definitely a nice addition to GetResponse’s features and one that will bring real value to users
Trying GetResponse for free
There are two main methods of using GetResponse to try it out – use the free trial or get a free trial.
Free Forever plans are made available to businesses that have 500 or fewer subscribers. They provide a basic, yet sufficient email marketing platform.
You can try GetResponse’s advanced features for 30 days. This gives you access to all of the features at once before deciding if it is right for you or not.
Apps and integrations
If you want to integrate a tool like GetResponse with another platform, there are around 60 integrations that can help you do it.
With a range of integrations, you can integrate your Gmail with GetResponse or an eCommerce solution like WooCommerce or Shopify. You can also connect it to VisualForce and WordPress, as well as some CRM systems like Capsule and Highrise.
You can use Google tools like contacts and analytics to help your business by importing contacts and linking them to your email marketing campaign. This will allow you to measure the effectiveness of your PPC campaigns that much easier.
GetResponse offers an API (Application Programming Interface) that makes it easy to integrate it with different apps. It also simplifies sending and receiving data for you, meaning it forces you to focus on the important aspects of your business.
What’s the best value GetResponse plan?
The ‘Plus’ plan is the best option for a business of your size. This plan unlocks all of GetResponse’s features and remains competitively priced with plans that are more basic.
Website upgrades have the potential to make a big difference for your company. One of the biggest features, automation building, is only included in the ‘Pro’ plan. However, you might want to consider upgrading to the ‘Pro’ plan if you’re considering this feature in particular as it provides some other great benefits too.
You can try out the ‘Plus’ plan here.
Data management and deliverability
Data capture and forms
There are two ways GetResponse forms can be used – you can either create your own HTML form or style it in GetResponse. You have a wide range of templates to choose from and can modify them as you wish.
Using Javascript, you can add a JavaScript form to your site with a snippet of code that presents the form in different formats. The other formats include inline, pop-up and slide-up.
The simple and easy-to-use web forms in GetResponse allow you to quickly collect information from users. The custom HTML fields feature gives you a quick and easy way to populate custom fields with information about the user like their location, demographics, or website preference.
You can create both desktop and mobile versions, but from the looks of these updates, it’s not just a lightweight extension. You can use a reasonable range of web fonts when styling & this also includes spambot-blocking CAPTCHA features.
GetResponse has no auto pop-up form controls, nor can they be enabled or disabled on individual pages of your site.
Google’s approach to pop-ups on smartphones has often been a concern for websites. These notifications may cause people to visit less frequently or lessen the site’s ranking in search results.
It’s possible to connect GetResponse to a growth-hacking tool – Privvy is one such tool. This can help to boost subscription numbers and engagement with potential customers.
Doing this can be a good thing–it allows you to take on multiple tasks, like changing the colors of form fields or removing pop-ups, without lowering the site’s overall performance. But this requires you to invest in additional software and work out where they’re going to appear.
GetResponse is a tool that lets you send emails, but can also integrate with a CMS like WordPress. With this tool, your customers won’t need to contact you directly. They just submit the form they created in their WP Dashboard.
Data segmentation options
When sending emails, one of the things I like most about GetResponse is the way you can send emails to a segment of your subscribers at once. This is not the case with some of GetResponse’s key competitors such as Mailchimp and AWeber, but it’s possible with these companies if you use considered & scheduled messages instead.
Now, if you have a subscriber list in GetResponse that you’ve divided up into four segments, for example:
– Segment A
– Segment B
– Segment C
– Segment D
It’s really easy to message one segment at a time with GetResponse because you just have to tick three checkboxes in your filtering tool. You can also select segments B, C, and D separately or exclude segments among the other three, which is convenient.
GetReponse offers a variety of sophisticated email lists and you can add people to multiple lists at the same time. You can also specify individual lists as well and send them out to groups of contacts at your discretion.
In order to use a lot of the more powerful segmentation options, you’ll have to go for one of the paid plans. But regardless, you can use a number of useful options across all the plans.
GetResponse really proves its effectiveness in differentiating itself from its competitors. With the multiplication of email marketing tools, it’s extremely important that you find a tool that helps you reach your goal more effectively. Campaign Monitor is the only tool I’ve seen so far with a similar level of flexability and customization as GetResponse has to offer.
GetResponse is a powerful tool for segmentation. In addition to the full range of email marketing features, its advanced segmentation creates more opportunities than key competitor Mailchimp, which doesn’t have these features unless you pay a high price for “Mailchimp Premium”.
GetResponse deliverability
Email deliverability rate is important when choosing a marketing tool. It’s a measure of how well email newsletters reach their intended audience.
Some email marketing providers don’t like to disclose their deliverability rates. GetResponse seems relatively open about this and provides an overview of what their customers should expect.
We found GetResponse’s reported email delivery rates to be impressive. This inspires confidence and makes you feel confident that your email campaign is going to reach its intended audience.
GetResponse does a good job of measuring the deliverability of your messages. They also give you good metrics on other important aspects of your email marketing.
GetResponse provides a variety of tools that can help you improve your email deliverability. Custom DKIM is an authentication technique designed to enhance the security of your email and increase the chance its deliverability. This can further improve your return on investment!
GDPR
When GDPR was introduced, email marketing got a lot more complicated. It isn’t just about consent anymore – there are specific rules about how and when consent should be revoked. This can make things more difficult for email marketers because it’s not always obvious what it will take to generate a better user experience.
GetResponse has made a wise decision by informing their users of what they need to do concerning the GDPR legislation and providing options to make it easier for them.
GetResponse also offers two-factor authentication (2FA) for added security. This means that the user will only gain access after successfully presenting two pieces of information, such as a password & code generated by an app.
Given that GDPR is a very important aspect of data protection, I think this feature is incredibly valuable.
On the downside, GetResponse’s landing page feature does not work well together with DIY viral emails or Facebook advertisements. So be cautious and make sure you agree before sending a message in that case.
Ease of use / interface
GetResponse is fairly user-friendly. They redesigned their interface a few years ago and made it easier to access key features by making them easier to find.
GetResponse is a relatively straightforward email marketing software that offers you ease of entry, especially if you’re looking to create and send campaigns. You can also easily check stats and track your campaigns. Its segment management was quite impressive for a business-focused tool
GetResponse has many features that make marketing easier, including a fully-functioning marketing automation tool that’s very easy to get started with.
GetResponse is a great platform for creating forms & landing pages for your online marketing campaigns. The interface changes have made it more user-friendly, but the form creator and landing page creator tools are not currently as intuitive as other parts of the service.
Campaign Monitor and Mailchimp both function strongly and offer major perks not seen in other email marketing services. However, GetResponse offers a few features not found on these two platforms that make it easier to use.
GetResponse’s main usability flaw was its email editor. It is difficult to use, and often glitchy.
The new email creator is much more convenient and reliable than the previous software. It also has a cleaner interface, doesn’t crash, and is easier to use.
It’s not quite as good as some competing apps, but it’s still pretty great.
Customer support
GetResponse has had a rich history of accommodating and delighting customers for many years — offering online assistance including live chat, email & phone support. They have also published various helpful tutorials and resources to assist with growing your business.
Unfortunately, in order to fix minor issues with your account, you will now have to use live chat (24/7), or email support.
I have been very happy with my experience with GetResponse’s chat service — I always found it easy to connect with an agent, and they were all really knowledgeable about the platform.
GetResponse has several customer support channels including email, phone, and live chat. The support provided when trying to contact them is in a variety of languages.
GetResponse’s email support is available in 8 languages which are English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. This is a great perk for their users.
(I had a few times where I got a response back from email support to be slower than I wanted. However.)
GetResponse review conclusion
GetResponse is one of the more cost-effective email marketing tools for your business. It is a great option for hosting and communicating with your email database.
Are you tired of waiting for your customers to email you so you can respond in kind? This product provides instant automation and other marketing services that are priced competitively.
It is hard to think of any competing email marketing solution that offers such an ‘all-round’ proposition, making it a great fit for new business owners without a budget. The fact that it has the ‘Free-forever’ plan makes this even better.
I’ve given GetResponse a lot of credit for the high-functionality it offers, and I am impressed that the company has been able to create such a high-quality product at no cost.
GetResponse has had some flaws, but they are starting to resolve them and implement new features.
GetResponse should take the time to look into how they can introduce cookie consent pages for all their website’s landing pages
With a responsive design and the ability to connect content and copywriting, the landing pages interface would be more visible.
I agree with you on the idea of this popup. It’s not ideal to use a pop-up on mobile web users. I think having a choice would actually make things easier for them.
Here are the pros and cons of using GetResponse in a nutshell:
